Frequently asked questions
1. At what age can I start sleep consulting for my baby?
You can begin gentle sleep guidance even before birth. For newborns, the focus is on foundations, routines, and supporting natural sleep patterns. Formal sleep shaping can begin from around 4 months.
2. Do your methods involve any crying at all?
No. I follow a completely gentle, no tears approach. Your baby is never left to cry alone. All strategies are responsive, attachment friendly, and fully parent supported.
3. Do you support breastfeeding?
Yes. Breastfeeding and sleep are part of the same biobehavioral system. If you are breastfeeding, it becomes a superpower that helps us reach your baby's sleep goals faster.
4. Do you promote bedsharing?
Absolutely. Bedsharing or breastsleeping can be a game changer for many families. Babies often need physical closeness to sleep well, and I guide you on how to do this safely and peacefully.
5. How long does it take to see improvement in my baby’s sleep?
Since my methods align with what is biologically normal for babies, most little ones respond quickly to routines. Families usually notice positive changes within a few days of following the plan. If your baby is dependent on motion like a swing or yoga ball to fall asleep, it may take a little longer.
6. What if my baby is going through a regression?
Sleep regressions are normal and developmental. I guide you with gentle and realistic adjustments that help you navigate these phases smoothly.
7. Do you support parents of older children too?
Yes. I work with infants, toddlers, and young children up to 5 years. The approach is always gentle and tailored to your child's temperament and your family's goals.
8. What happens after the consultation?
You receive a personalised sleep plan along with 10 days of ongoing support. Even after the support period ends, I am just a call away if you need to discuss anything. I guide you step by step so the changes feel calm and manageable.
9. Do you help with naps as well as night sleep?
Yes. Nap structure, nap transitions, and daytime routines are all part of the plan. Everything is personalised to your baby’s age and development.
10. What if my baby only sleeps on the lap or while being held?
This is not only common but also developmentally normal. Babies need womb like care for the first 8 to 9 months. After this period, the need for frequent contact naps naturally begins to reduce.
11. Do you offer prenatal sleep consultations?
Yes. My prenatal consult helps you prepare for newborn sleep, set realistic expectations, create a newborn friendly sleep environment, and prepare your elder child for the arrival of a new sibling.
12. Are your plans personalised or general?
Every plan is fully personalised based on your baby's age, temperament, feeding routine, family lifestyle, and sleep goals.
